Custom Fabrication.
Precision metalwork for performance builds — every cut measured, every bead flawless. Hand-built in Washington, IL by lead fabricator Ilya Richardson.
Meet the Fabricator
Ilya Richardson
Lead Fabricator · TIG · 6+ yrsSix years of welding experience across industrial, motorsport, and automotive applications. Ilya's professional background includes field welding on energy infrastructure — the kind of work where every joint has to be structurally perfect. That same standard carries into every custom piece he builds at Silvades.
His specialty is custom stainless steel exhaust fabrication for performance and race applications, including Formula Vee race cars. He's built systems for Mercedes, BMW, Nissan, and beyond — and he's currently collaborating with Ben to design and build Silvades' line of custom heat shields and cold-air intake components.
Services
Custom Exhaust Systems
Full stainless steel exhaust fabrication — headers, downpipes, catbacks, and one-off race systems. Every stainless weld is back-purged for maximum flow and long-term durability.
Heat Shields & Intake
Custom-designed thermal barriers to keep your intake pulling cold air. Precision-fitted to your engine bay, not a universal guess. Built in tandem with Silvades' 3D-printed intake program.
General Performance Metalwork
Brackets, mounts, intercooler piping, turbo plumbing, roll-cage gussets — if it's metal and it needs to perform, we build it. One-offs and small-batch repeat work both welcome.
What We Work With
Stainless Steel
Multiple grades stocked. All stainless work is properly cleaned and back-purged for clean ID welds.
Mild Steel
For brackets, mounts, and structural fabrication. Welded to spec, finished for paint or powder.
Aluminum
Lightweight components for intake and intercooler builds. AC TIG with argon shielding throughout.
Hot & Cold Rolled
For heavy-duty structural applications — cage tabs, chassis tabs, bumper builds, mounting plates.
