Installing the Volvo T6 Cold Air Intake: 4 Steps, About 30 Minutes
The SilvaDes T6 intake is a direct-fit replacement for the factory T6 airbox. It's printed in PA6-GF glass-fiber nylon and goes in on the factory mount points. It reuses your stock MAF sensor, and every factory emissions hose stays connected as stock. No cutting, no drilling, no rewiring, no tune. Here's the whole install.
Before you order: check your MAF
Fitment is set by the MAF sensor, not the model name. The intake fits any Volvo T6 that uses MAF sensor OE #LR012073. Pop the engine cover and read the part number on the sensor in your intake tract. If it matches, the intake fits. If it doesn't, message me before ordering.
What you need
The SilvaDes intake. It ships as one assembled part.
A 3-inch (76 mm) performance air filter. The filter is not included. K&N RE-0930 or any equivalent 3-inch filter fits the flange.
Basic hand tools. No lift, no specialty equipment.
About 30 minutes.
Step 1: Remove the factory airbox
Pop the engine cover, release the OE airbox clips, disconnect the MAF harness and lift the airbox out. Keep the MAF sensor, because it goes back in.
Step 2: Drop in the intake
The intake seats on the same mounting points as the OE airbox. Tighten the throttle-body coupler by hand. There's no torque spec. Leave every factory emissions hose connected exactly as it was.
Step 3: Reinstall the MAF sensor and filter
The MAF mount is modeled to OEM tolerance. Slide the sensor in, reconnect the harness, then clamp the 3-inch filter onto the flange.
Step 4: Verify and start it
Check the throttle-body coupler and the filter clamp by eye. Start the car cold, then let it warm up. You want no check-engine light, no MAF codes and no trim drift. If that's what you get, you're done.

Emissions
This intake has not been emissions tested and has no California Air Resources Board (CARB) Executive Order number. It is not legal for sale or use in California on any pollution-controlled vehicle. Check your state's emissions rules before installing.
